REFERRALS

Specialized is always looking for good people and you can help!  Research has shown, and our own experience supports this, new hires that come into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors and stay with the company longer.

That is where you come in!

Some of our best Candidates are working and want to be made aware of potential new job opportunities.  If you know someone who would be a good addition to Specialized you would receive a $100 Gift Card if you refer them for employment and they are hired!**

MARCH Newsletter

A message from our President, Lisa Guard:

Specialized Staffing is a company guided by the principle We Believe We Directly Impact the Lives of our Employees and the Success of our Customers. As we work through the effects of the coronavirus, we understand the role we play in our business and social communities and will do everything we can to promote the health and safety of our staff, candidates, employees, customers, providers and those in our community. We understand the increasing concerns and are doing everything we can to ensure business continues with minimal interruption.  In times of uncertainty we must be there for each other with compassion and responsibility.

While many questions regarding the novel coronavirus remain unanswered at this time, there are practical, commonsense ways for you to take care of yourself, protect others, and monitor latest developments.

Based on guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention  we recommend that employees

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Stay home when they are sick
  • Cover their cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
  • Not wear a face mask unless they show symptoms of respiratory illness, including COVID-19
  • Wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing their nose, coughing, or sneezing (if soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol)

To learn more about the novel coronavirus and keep up with the latest developments, see the About Coronavirus Disease 2019 and CDC’s Frequently Asked Questions and Answers webpages. For information about handwashing, see CDC’s Handwashing website.

By following the latest technology and guidance and leading with our hearts, we look forward to getting through this together.

Thank you.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Every month we recognize an employee who receives outstanding feedback from our customers.  This month we are doing something just a little different and recognizing an outstanding performer in our own office!  Stella Cowan has been with us for 15 years!  She is frequently the first one in the door and the last to leave, making sure our customers, candidates and employees are happy.  This month, when a new client presented a unique recruiting challenge, Stella quickly developed a different approach to identifying candidates with specific skills, resulting in multiple, successful hires!  Stella is always treating those of us who work with her to freshly baked cookies and cakes and is easily recognizable by her delightful British accent.  Congratulations Stella!
