EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Our August Employee of the Month is Amanda Haak. Comments from her supervisor, “Quick, smart, picks up. I like her personally, good fit – we relate to each other well. We are forming a team and I am training her from the ground up, so she understands everything.”
The Employee of the Month is chosen based on supervisor feedback, attendance, and performance.
REFERRALS
Specialized is always looking for good people and you can help! Research has shown, and our own experience supports this, new hires that come into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors and stay with the company longer. That is where you come in! In our experience, some of our best Candidates are currently working and they just want to be made aware of job opportunities. If you know someone who would be a good addition to Specialized and they meet the qualifications for an existing open job, you would receive a **$100 Gift Card if you refer them for employment and they are hired!

LABOR DAY
Our office will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observation of the Labor Day Holiday. All time sheets will be due, and need approved by 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 8th. Any time sheet received after that time will be paid the following pay week. We suggest you complete your time sheet by the end of your shift on Friday, September 4th so your supervisor can approve prior to Tuesday at 9:00 am. Please check with the company that you are working at to find out if you are off on Labor Day.
TIME SHEETS
When completing your time sheet, only enter your actual hours worked on each individual day. If you did not work, please do not list any hours. For instance, with the Labor holiday, if you are not at work on Monday September 7th, that day should not show on your time sheet. You can enter in the remarks section, off Labor Day. Also, if you have an appointment or no hours for a certain day, please note that in the remarks also.

HOLIDAY PAY
The following can be found in your employee handbook that was attached to the email we sent with your time sheet instructions. If you need us to email you another copy, please let us know. Specialized Staffing employees are entitled to holiday pay when the company they are working for observes the holiday. The possible eligible holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
The following requirements must be met to receive Holiday Pay:
Must work consecutively for 480 hours preceding the Holiday
Must work the scheduled day before and after the Holiday
Holiday pay cannot be used in calculation of overtime pay
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
If you have a work email at your present work location and / or a direct phone number or extension, please email that information to us. That way if we do need to talk to you during work hours, we can easily reach you.
