From Challenge to Triumph – Employee of the Month and Innovative Staffing Strategies

In recent years, a recurring concern voiced by our clientele revolves around the growing challenge of sourcing and retaining top-tier talent. It seems a convergence of various factors has brewed what can only be described as a ‘Perfect Storm’ in maintaining operational momentum with a fully staffed team. Amidst this storm, we’ve been proactively devising strategies to address the talent deficit plaguing our clients. One such initiative involves tapping into a valuable resource often overlooked: retirees.

By reintegrating retired personnel into the workforce on a part-time basis, we’ve witnessed a tangible alleviation of staffing shortages for our clients. The feedback we’ve received underscores the manifold advantages of this approach. Returning retirees bring with them not only a wealth of experience but also a refreshing positivity and adaptability that can be instrumental during periods of flux. Moreover, their reentry into the workforce often necessitates minimal to no training, enabling a seamless integration into existing operations.

This month, we’re delighted to spotlight a shining example of the efficacy of this strategy: our Employee of the Month. Their dedication and contribution serve as a testament to the invaluable role that returning retirees can play in bolstering organizational resilience amidst staffing challenges

March Employee of the Month is Janet S. “Her supervisor said Janet knows how short they are on trained permanent staff and is doing this to help even though she could be enjoying retirement full-time. Janet has picked up any shift we have asked her to work, and she has assisted in special projects which utilizes her expertise. We could not be functioning at the level we currently are without her. Janet was an exceptional team member before retirement and continues to do so as your team member.”

Thank you, Janet, for being a fantastic employee!!

February’s Employee of the Month is Patty H

Our Employee of the Month is Patty H. Her supervisors each had something special to say about her.  “Patty is wonderful to work with. She is very friendly, kind, helpful, and caring. She is always ready to jump into any task you give her no matter how big or small. I was out of the office working remotely from the end of December until mid-February and she was able to handle the office in my absence without any issues at all. Patty was a Godsend. It eased my mind to know that the office was being well taken care of and that was one less thing I had to worry about. I feel that Patty is one of the best hires we have made.” The COO expressed, “Patty has been absolutely fantastic. She is an absolute pro and we have been so lucky to have her. The dividends of her coming into our office have just continued to grow and multiply.”

Thank you, Patty, for being a wonderful employee!!

The Employee of the Month is chosen based on supervisor feedback, attendance, and performance.
