Why consider project work?

There are a lot of reasons to consider project work.  Especially this time of year when the kiddos are getting back on the school bus.  Gain some experience, keep up your skills, earn a few extra bucks….and more.  Project work is a great way to ‘dip your toe’ back into the job pool and keep that flexibility.  Listen to Lisa Guard and Tracey Morgan discuss this AND our Back To School/Back To Work event that’s happening soon!https://anchor.fm/wisr-lets-talk/episodes/Specialized-Staffing-e1mtjju

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Our June Employee of the Month is Mark Laux.  His manager had this to say about him, “Mark is extremely reliable. He arrives at work the same time every day; and he focuses on the tasks at hand and works steadily at them all day long. Mark is not afraid to ask questions or to bring issues he encounters to the staff for resolution. Mark is very personable, and he works well with the other team members. Mark has proven that he cares about our company and about our accounting team being successful.”

Thank you, Mark, for being an awesome employee!!

The Employee of the Month is chosen on supervisor feedback, attendance, and performance.

HOLIDAY – July 4th

Our office will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observance of the July 4th Holiday.

Time sheets are due Tuesday, July 5th by 9:00am.

We strongly suggest that you submit your time sheet at the end of your work week.  This also allows your supervisor more time to approve it!  If time sheets are not received by 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 5th, your paycheck will not be processed until the following week.

IF YOU HAVE FACEBOOK, PLEASE LIKE US AND SHARE!!

REFERRALS

Specialized is always looking for good people and you can help!  Research has shown, and our own experience supports this, new hires that come into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors and stay with the company longer.  That is where you come in!

In our experience, some of our best Candidates are currently working and they just want to be made aware of job opportunities.  If you know someone who would be a good addition to Specialized and they meet the qualifications for an existing open job, you will receive a **$100 Gift Card if you refer them for employment and they are hired!

When you have someone in mind who would be a good fit for our company, let us know by contacting Linda via email at Info@TheBestWorkWithUs.com OR call us at 724-287-8380.  Please have their name, email address and phone number available.  Also, please feel free to share our website www.TheBestWorkWithUs.com that includes current job opportunities.

Thank you.

** For a successful referral, they will be a new candidate to Specialized and successful in completing 90 days of employment with us.

PAYSTUBS AND W-2s

https://workforce.intuit.com

2022 W-2’s will be uploaded to the website by January 31, 2023.

If you are a new employee that started this month and/or have NOT registered with Intuit, it is

Very important to register on the website NOW to have access to your paystubs and next year’s W-2 information.  For new employees, you will receive a time sensitive email from Intuit, the Tuesday following your first week of employment to register and have access to your paystubs and next year’s W-2 information.  W-2s are not mailed out.

If your Intuit email has expired, please contact us and we will send you a new email that expires 24 hours after receiving, to register and have access to your paystubs and your W-2s.

REMINDERS

If you are planning a vacation or have scheduled appointments that we are not aware of, please call or send us an email at Info@TheBestWorkWithUs.com so that we can make a note of them and ensure your current assignment contacts are also aware.

Summer has arrived with very warm weather, please remember to dress appropriately, and adhere to the company’s dress code.  Also, remember that cell phones should not be used during scheduled work hours.

Please remember to complete your on-line time sheet and submit when you have completed your work week.  This will give your time sheet approvers sufficient time to approve your time sheet by the 1:00 pm Monday deadline.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to contact us at (724) 287-8380 or 1-866-240-5150.  We are available Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  If these hours do not work for you, please leave a message on our 24-hour voice mail and your call will be returned the next business day.

Look who’s all over the Butler Business Matters this month!

We love good press and June’s issue of the Butler Business Matters brings it!  Our own Stella Cowan is recognized as Butler County’s Employee of the Year and the newest member of our team, Betsey Kukla, is officially announced.

March 2022 EVENTS on MySpecializedCareer.com

Presentation Title: Uncover Unadvertised Job Opportunities

Date: Tuesday, March 8th

Time: 3:00 pm

Description: When you are working you often hear about jobs that are available but not advertised. When you’re not working or in an active job search, these leads to unadvertised jobs could be the key to you accepting a great job. So often employers have someone on probation or need to hire, but have not taken the time to write up a job description or tell HR. During this session, we will address the following:
Uncover unadvertised jobs
Conduct a proactive vs. reactive search
Why this must become part of your job search efforts

The lines will be open to address your questions following the training presentation.

Presentation Title: Don’t Spend All Day on Your Computer

Date: Tuesday, March 15th

Time: 11:00 am

Description: Sitting at home in front of your computer day in and day out answering job board ads and website postings is not the most effective way to conduct your job search. In fact, job boards and website postings are where you have the highest level of competition and lowest rate of return on your investment of time and effort. During this session, we will discuss the following:
Where should you go?
What should you do?
Who should you meet?
Why this will provide you with better results in your job search.

The lines will be open to address your questions following the training presentation.

Presentation Title: Answer “Tell me About Yourself” Like a Pro

Date: Thursday, March 24th

Time: 1:00 pm

Description: Most interviewers start interviews by asking, “Tell me about yourself.” The answer to this question is often included in a hiring authorities’ first impression and can often lead to you being either screened it or eliminated from the interview process.

You will be asked this question and need to practice your response, so you are comfortable with your answer. Instead of dreading this question, role-play your response with others and make adjustments based on the feedback you receive. It’s better to be over-prepared than to have your answer sabotage your interview. During this session, we will address the following:
What employers look for in your answer
How to effectively format your response
Great follow up responses

The lines will be open to address your questions following the training presentation.

Should you change your networking targets?
